“There is nothing more rewarding to us than seeing a patient regain confidence in their body, achieve a personal goal, or discover that movement can improve their quality of life.”
Benita Keeve
I am a registered Biokineticist with 17 years of experience and a genuine passion for helping people improve their health, function, and quality of life through movement.
What I love most about my profession is the diversity of patients I work with. From triathletes and Comrades Marathon runners striving to achieve peak performance, to individuals managing conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, hypertension, and other chronic health challenges, every patient brings unique goals and opportunities for growth.
I strongly believe that exercise is medicine and that movement has the power to transform lives. My approach focuses on creating individualized, evidence-based exercise programmes that support recovery, improve performance, and promote long-term health and wellbeing.
I work closely with physiotherapists, chiropractors, doctors, and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that each patient receives comprehensive and coordinated care tailored to their specific needs.
Michelle Conlan
I'm passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and perform at their best. I enjoy working closely with clients to create personalised programmes that fit their lifestyle, goals, and rehabilitation needs-whether it's prehabilitation, post-operative recovery, injury management, or sport-specific performance.
Since becoming a mom in 2024, I've developed a special interest in supporting women through pregnancy and post-partum recovery, helping them regain confidence, strength, and a sense of themselves as they navigate this exciting new chapter.
When I'm not in the practice, you'll probably find me in the gym testing out exercises I discovered on social media (all in the name of research for my clients, of course!), road running, cycling with my husband, or spending quality time with my family.
I believe the body is designed to move and thrives on movement. Nothing motivates me more than seeing clients achieve their goals-whether that's completing a first triathlon, finishing the Comrades Marathon, representing South Africa in swimming, or simply being able to stand on one leg and put on a shoe pain-free. Every milestone matters.
I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Biokinetics and Sport Science at the University of Pretoria in 2008.
Marlie Niksch
I grew up on a farm in Bothaville before pursuing my studies in Potchefstroom. I finished my degree in 2010.
For the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of working at this practice in Johannesburg, helping patients improve their health, function, and quality of life.
I am passionate about working with people and find great satisfaction in seeing my patients progress and achieve their goals.
At our practice, we are fortunate to work with a wide variety of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, sports-specific rehabilitation, chronic diseases, and neurological conditions.
While I particularly enjoy sport-specific rehabilitation and functional strength training, I also have a strong interest in neurological rehabilitation.
I work closely with a wide variety of medical professionals to help improve my treatment for my patients.
Every patient presents a unique challenge, and I value the opportunity to support each individual on their journey to better movement and overall well-being.
Gemma Whitehead
I have a passion for helping people achieve their goals - no matter how big or small they may seem. I enjoy working with a wide range of people, from athletes (including paralympians) working towards their race goals to anyone wanting to improve their daily functionality and quality of life. I believe the body is far more capable than we think and with the right guidance and scientific measures we can help everyone achieve more than they ever believed.
I have always loved movement. From a young age, I played a variety of sports and activities. Most recently, I have found myself long distance running - both road and trails. I combine this with strength work in the gym as well as Pilates.
I have a love for all things travel and tea! I believe no task or challenge is too big as long as there is a cuppa tea by my side. Outside of my job and sporting endeavors I enjoy spending time in nature, with my family and friends and baking up a storm in the kitchen.
I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Sport Science and Biokinetics at the University of Pretoria in 2020 and 2021.
